Aglaia Revelakis has been a resident of Laval since 1980. Daughter of Greek immigrants who arrived in Québec in 1963, she got involved in politics from an early age. In 1986, she graduated Business administration and Finance. She has been managing the Manoir de Laval since 1999, a residence for the elderly. Since 2015, Mrs. Revelakis has also been a member of the Audit Committee at the Caisse Desjardins des Grands-Boulevards, located on St-Martin boulevard, in Laval.
Aglaia Revelakis has always been very active in her community. She devoted 10 years to the Greek Orthodox Community of Laval, her passion combined with her proactive and result-oriented attitude are much appreciated by those who had the pleasure of working alongside her.
In the past 20 years, Mrs. Revelakis has been a member of the board of directors for numerous organizations, such as the CLSC Norman Béthune, Cité de la santé, Centre du Sablon and she also presided in the celebrations of the Montreal Cretans’ Association 100th anniversary in 2012. During the past 15 years, Aglaia Revelakis took up political roles in the Liberal Party of Canada and the Parti Libéral du Québec.
When Jean-Claude Gobé asked her to join his team during the municipal elections for the district of Chomedey, she won the elections with more than 50% of the popular vote. Aglaia Revelakis is the municipal councillor for the district of Chomedey and in 2014, she became the designated councillor for the Official Opposition at Ville de Laval.
